I am born and bred in Cape Town South Africa. My first language is English, however I speak Afrikaans fluently. I am trying to speak Dutch which is a challenge as Afrikaans is so close to Dutch. I can generally make sense of basic written Dutch but speaking it is where the difficulty is encountered. So I am hoping there is someone out there who could assist me in mastering conversational Dutch.
